We are excited to join Pledge 1%’s network of founders, entrepreneurs and companies around the globe that have committed to giving back.
Our first project was unveiled in October 2021 when the Heart of the Nation application was released on the Apple and Google stores by heart attack survivor Greg Page.
Greg, known to many in Australia as the Original Yellow Wiggle, survived a near-fatal cardiac arrest while on stage in January 2020 and was luckily saved by the presence of a defibrillator close by, and the quick response of a nurse in the audience.
Since this event, Greg has been working tirelessly to educate people about the chain of survival and the use of AEDs.
Recently, Greg has started a new project, a mobile application that helps find the nearest AED to you, call the emergencies, and very recently enable volunteers to assist in the response. The application itself has been built by one of our partners- the Arq Group, and our Perspio™ data platform holds all the information regarding the AEDs, fixed and mobile, as well as tracks and monitors their use and servicing to ensure they are always ready to go in time of need.
