Challenge:

Getting paid for the hours of service the equipment provides is an important factor when identifying
revenue leaks. Whether it is operating during customer-instigated stand-down periods, or over and
above standard operating hours, you are missing out on revenue and more likely to need additional costly maintenance.
Knowing what is in/out of your yard at any time and what is on- / off-contract is also a labor-intensive
process that is often riddled with errors.

Risk:

Unbilled hours, service charges and ancillary costs add up to major expenditure when you factor in the extra hours it takes to chase them up or have unproductive equipment.
Likewise having equipment out of the yard not generating revenue because it was omitted on the contract, or charging customers for equipment that hasn’t been delivered are aspects that have a
negative impact on your business.

Solution:

The solution to this problem is to leverage a data fusion platform like Perspio™ that will analyse the telemetry from the equipment on one side, and your operational data on the other to then trigger an action.

That action can be as simple as letting the branch manager know that equipment is working when it shouldn’t be, or if your ERP allows you to, could put the equipment back on hire and add relevant
charges and comments directly to the customer contract.

Having access to all relevant data from any field data source or back-end application, handled in one easy system, makes your data work harder for you. It means that your ERP automatically knows what to invoice, including the time-consuming minor costs and service time limits.

As a result, you no longer waste time reconciling data between systems or administrative overheads, you get paid for the actual use of your equipment, and your customer service quality improves.

Everyone wins!
